S. Sutton & Associates Inc., a network of consultants that help nonprofit organizations and philanthropists maximize their philanthropic efforts, was enagaged by the United States Green Party (GPUS) in 2018 to create a 'Strategic Multi-Year Development Plan & Implementation Strategy' to increase their fundraising efforts.
One of the deliverables was to develop a comprehensive fundraising plan with strategies to increase GPUS’s fundraising efforts from individuals, major donors, and special events.
I provided analysis and metrics on their donor base to identify opportunities for GPUS to grow its major donor prospects and convert single-gift donors to monthly donors, especially leading into the 2020 presidential election.
GPUS uses the NationBuilder fundraising CRM platform with a PostGreSQL database which I queried to create datasets.
Captured 2018 and 2019 donation metrics to update GPUS’ rolling 5 year fundraising Key Performance Indicators - new, retained, lapsed, and reactivated donors with gift amounts.
Mined the entire donor database (2002 - 2019) to capture additional donation metrics and trends; create Major Gift and Planned Giving donor prospect lists and donor segments for marketing campaigns, and visualizations allowing GPUS to explore yearly metrics across various donor groups and donation amounts.
